Vehicle Description

1958 Porsche 356A T2 Coupe • VIN 102056 • Engine No. 84682 • Porsche Kardex • Aqua Marine Blue Metallic (5707) with Red interior • Completed October 31, 1957 The 356A T2 Coupe is the end of the 356A production. Per the Porsche Kardex, the T2 Coupe was initially delivered by Hans Kahrmann, the Volkswagen-Porsche dealership in Fulda, Germany, to its first owner, a US Army Specialist 3, Lee E. Elgen, stationed at APO 757, Frankfurt military post. Originally finished from the factory in Aquamarine Blue Metallic (5707) with Red upholstery and equipped with sealed beam headlights. According to the history on file, this T2 project was last driven in 1988 and has been preserved for the past three decades. This 356A Coupe is very straight and rust-free and will require a full restoration, including the essential components, such as gauges, engine, transmission, brakes, bumpers, glass, and front and rear seats. Upon the 356s arrival at European Collectibles, it was noted that this 356A coupe retains many of its original components, including the date-coded seat hinges and fuel sending unit. While the 356 does not currently run or drive, the engine does turn over. Complete with a spare wheel, jack, and service history. This is a great opportunity to acquire a T2 356A project to restore.
